Old news, but...
Le Raunche, unfortunately, ended prematurely but I came 3rd overall, next to Phebes and Aimee. I was so excited!
And I am 3rd overall in GJWHF which is super awesome!
Just thought I would update.

I've been a bad, bad blogger.
No updates since June 10th? THIS IS SPARTAAAA!
Anyway, I think you should know some news. I have recently bought Generations and I love it! That new "The Claw" animation is adorbs <3
Where are those pictures from? Well, I might as well do some shameless plugging of my newest legacy: (hey, it's my blog, I can do what I want with it! :P)
The Rockwell Family Legacy!
It's quite a contrast to the Neon Matriarchy, which - alas! alack! - is dead and gone now. It's a shame, really. Still, I'm getting a brand hew start with this one, and it's got more humour in it this time! It has no plot whatsoever, so I won't have to do any hard thinking about "WTF am I going to do with this generation!?"
Also, I have joined Mark's competition, Le Raunche, and recently turned in Assignment 2.
It's meant to be a magazine cover. I'm not completely happy with it but hey, whatever. At least it's non-elim :D The model's name is Aaliyah, and I created her to be African-American. I think she's gorgeous and I may put her up for download soon!
And speaking of non-elim, I have joined GJWHF Cycle 3 with a little more experience! This was my assignment 2 pic and I am MAHOOSIVELY proud of it!
Bellamy has always had a deep love for elephants. When she was a child, her parents took her to the zoo where she first saw these animals which had captivated and entranced her since the moment she heard one trumpet - she was in awe of the loud sound they made when her voice wouldn't even make a whisper.
When she was 18, she took a trip to Kenya to see the wildlife and the first thing she wanted to see were the elephants. On September 22nd, Elephant Appreciation Day, Bellamy finally saw her favourite animal close up and it made her fall even more in love with them, and she twirled about with happiness every time one of them trumpeted. She adored them so much that she dragged her sleeping bag down to where she saw the herd and lay it down. She planned to rest for the night - or at least a while - with these gorgeous animals that she adored so much!
This model is called Bellamy Whitefield, and I personally think she is the prettiest Sim I've ever created <3 In this cycle of GJWHF it's all about portraying months. This month was March and since I love elephants, I chose to do March 22nd, Elephant Appreciation Day! :D I absolutely adore this picture so much.
I also joined Bad Girls Society, another comp hosted by Fel! I won the last round with this picture and made it into the final 10:
The model is Constance Shelley since we had to make over an EA-made Sim. I was most pleased with this result and yesterday I turned in my Assignment 5 picture, which I can't show you because it's private until Fel posts all of the entries. This competition is an elimination competition so I really need to work as hard as possible on my pictures! I feel my pictures have improved so much since GJWHF Cycle 2. You should compare the last post and this post to see the full effect :P I'm up against the big guns now that I'm in the final 10 so I've got to get my game on!
In other news, I joined an unofficial forum a while back and it's way less uptight than the officials! I have made a lot of friends there and the atmosphere is really laid back! You can find it here!
Well, I think that's all for now! BYEEE!

I am officially in a modelling competition! WOOT!
OK, so I joined Cycle 2 of Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, hosted by Felicia! I've just submitted my Assignment 2 picture for the judges to...well, judge. Yay! I'm pretty glad it's a non-elim competition, because it's my first one, apart from one that died which I got a really bad score in, heh...
So this cycle is career themed, so we need to depict our models in a job. Assignment 1 was in the fashion industry - here's my entry:
Which was actually quite pleasing for my first assignment ever. At least I didn't come last, but the people who came first TOTALLY deserved it!
So, in Assignment 2 was when your model runs away to join the circus, which was fun and a really great challenge! I just submitted it there now, so here it is:
I can't wait to see the other entries for this round. I think this photo is a lot more fun.
Oh, here's a link to the competition:

So this cycle is career themed, so we need to depict our models in a job. Assignment 1 was in the fashion industry - here's my entry:
So that was that. I got these scores:Lola was ecstatic when she got the job as PA for Delaney Edwards, the editor for Smokin' Sims - one of the most notorious fashion magazines in the world. She imagined herself in a sleek office, typing away on a laptop. However, the truth turned out to be different - Delaney was bossy, and demanded that her requirements were met. Every hour she sent down for a cappuccino with non-fat milk and whipped cream, and woe betide Lola if she dared get it slightly wrong. She was kept on her feet all day, making phone calls and bringing up paperwork to Delaney, to the point where she almost collapsed on the shiny leather sofa.
14th Place (tie) - JewelsRule & Lola 107/150
Felicia - Attention to Detail- 8/10Fun Factor- 5/10Creativity- 3/5Originality- 4/5Overall Appearance/Quality- 8/10Requirements- 8/10Total - 36/50
I thought that this was a fairly ok photo. The quality is good. My main problem with it, is that I had to take major points away because of the fun factor. I like to see reasons why these jobs are awesome, and your model does not seem to be having a good time with it. However, your quality is good, and your idea was original. So...good job with that!
Bliss - Attention to detail 7Fun Factor 5Creativity 2Originalility 3Overall Apperance/Quality 7Requirements 7Total 31/50
Comments - I really liked this photo Jewels but the most important part of this competition and every assignment is to keep a FUN factor to the photo. This felt more of a stressed apperance coming from ur model and had NO fun factor to me at all. This cost you fun factor points and requirement points. I did however love the idea of ur entry and I think if maybe you would have take a slightly different approach to this entry ur score would have come out much better
Early - Attention to Detail- 7/10Fun Factor- 7/10Creativity- 4/5Originality- 4/5Overall Appearance/Quality- 8/10Requirements- 10/10Total - 40/50
Aww, poor Lola! I really love your idea. However not the most creative, it's pretty typical. This pic was not bad, it has so much potenital, but I feel it's really plain. Some clutter on Delaney's desk, a picture on the wall, anything! Lola's pose is perfect, it's just too bad I can't see her face Also, I had to take off points for the Fun Factor, as it seems Lola was not having fun. Overall, not bad!

So, in Assignment 2 was when your model runs away to join the circus, which was fun and a really great challenge! I just submitted it there now, so here it is:
It was so fun to do, finding Lola the right hairstyle and clothes was a challenge in itself, but getting the "circus tent" (which was actually just a colourful wall :P) was SO HARD I nearly gave up on the idea! I just wanted an excuse to use that hair on Lola since I love it so much. Also, I love Lola so much too. SQUISH!
It was simple, really - why Lola ran away to join the circus. You see, her family and friends were homophobic, and as it turned out, Lola fell in love with her old boss - Delaney Edwards. They had formed a great friendship over the past month or so, but soon Lola realised that she wanted more than that. She expressed her feelings to Delaney, and Delaney confessed that she felt the same way - but it was just too complicated. The stress of rejection just turned out to be too much, so she spilled all to Laura O'Reilly, who was disgusted. Her family found out and kicked her out of the house, and while she was looking for a place to stay she saw a poster for the travelling circus. Secretly, she adored horses, and working with them and before long, she was able to do her first ever performance as a horseback gymnast! Lola loved her new job, and really excelled at it!
I can't wait to see the other entries for this round. I think this photo is a lot more fun.

A hair-editing spree!
I have recently gotten into the world of hair editing - yes indeedy. They're not great, but they'll do. The Sim used is the latest Simmeh for Rexy's Shop Me Stunning competition. I didn't want to go ingame because it takes ages to load up. I didn't enter them in the comp because I can't change the background...sadface. Anyway, this was my first one:
I was pretty pleased with it seeing as it was my first edit and all. I posted it on the 'Shop me Stunning thread and Rexy said this:
Which, personally, I think is a lot better. The shine's so much more...shiny, and the strands are pretty good, even if I do say so myself. Notice the shading underneath her chin on the left side? Yup. I shaded.
However, this is the most realistically drawn hair I've ever done. I was trying out some brushes for GIMP I downloaded and decided I'd test out one for drawing hair. I think it looks great, but the shine isn't quite shiny enough. I love those pixies and clouds, and the sparklies on her dress. I do think I could've done more with that shine, though.

It has a nice shape! watch the shine though, it's a bit too much. And I know it's tedious, but it could use some more strands, and they should come all the way out to the ends rather than stopping a little short. I would also try to add some strands around the edges so it's not quite so smooth! Hair isn't one big object, it's a bunch of tiny strands. Otherwise, I think you did great for your first time!So I was pretty pleased with that, and I realised that there was, in fact, too much shine and not enough strands. Therefore, last night I did this:

And the winner is...
After a day of voting, Bellamy won the heir poll and will be the Houston girl to inherit the house and money. How will her life go? Will there be many bumps in the road? I'm sure you'll find out soon enough but for now, happy Simming!
Heir Poll!
Hooray! I'm so excited for this generation of The Neon Matriarchy, I have a really brilliant scheme - er, story - to do with whoever gets chosen to be the heiress. Here are the girls all aged up with MC:
